
The Korea Maritime Institute (KMI), the Seoul Institute of Global Affairs (SIGA), the Institute of Philosophy and Sociology at the Polish Academy of Sciences, the HUFS Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence, and the HUFS Polar Research Institute are co-organizing an international seminar titled “Korea-Europe Arctic Cooperation: Partnerships, Social Relevance, and Governance in a Changing Arctic” on June 30, 2026. Taking place at the Institute of Philosophy and Sociology in Warsaw, Poland, this academic event brings together prominent Korean and European experts to address critical shifts in the High Nort, including climate change, energy security, and supply chain resilience, while exploring South Korea’s evolving strategic role as a constructive enabler and connector in Arctic governance
