Zhanat Momynkulov

Zhanat Momynkulov is a Kazakhstani researcher specializing in political science and Oriental studies. He earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Arabic and Oriental Studies from Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and received a Candidate of Sciences degree in Philosophy in 2009. He gained academic experience at Minya University in Egypt and the University of Minnesota in the United States as a recipient of the Bolashak International Scholarship.

Momynkulov began his career as a lecturer at KazGU University and later held administrative and research positions at the Academy of Public Administration under the President of Kazakhstan. From 2014 to 2018, he worked as an expert at the International Turkic Academy. In 2024, he served as Head of the Department of Political Science at L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, where he currently teaches as a Senior Lecturer.

His research focuses on the Middle East, Turkic world relations, and international relations, with a growing interest in Central Asian studies. He speaks six languages and has published over 150 academic works.
