In January 26, 2026, Dr. Kim Bongchul, President of the Seoul Institute of Global Affairs (SIGA), was awarded a Plaque of Appreciation by the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Republic of Korea.
The award was presented in recognition of his distinguished contribution to the development and strengthening of friendly relations between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Korea. In particular, it acknowledges his dedicated efforts in promoting educational cooperation and enhancing mutual understanding between the two countries.
The plaque was conferred by H.E. Begench Durdyyev, Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Korea, during a ceremony held in Seoul.
