Anna Brazzale
Anna Brazzale is a researcher specializing in Europe–Asia relations and migration, with a focus on high-skilled and student mobility. She is currently enrolled in an integrated Master’s–Ph.D. program in European Union Culture and Society at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies (HUFS).She holds a bachelor’s degree in Trade Management of Asia from Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences, a program centered on Asia–Europe trade and Chinese language and culture. This interdisciplinary background informs her research on migration and mobility between the European Union and East Asia.
Based in South Korea for over a decade, her work examines migration pathways and mobility transitions between the two regions. Her research includes the impact of EU cultural policies—such as the European Capital of Culture (ECoC)—on youth employment and migration in peripheral European regions, as well as the transition of EU international students in South Korea from education to the labor market. In parallel with her research, she serves as an Italian Language Lecturer at HUFS, with more than ten years of experience teaching Italian language and culture to diverse international learners. Her teaching includes courses on Italian society, culture, and fashion, and engages students from a wide range of academic and cultural backgrounds.Her academic and professional activities bridge migration, mobility, and intercultural exchange between Europe and Asia.
