SIGA Analysis & Commentary Writing Guidelines Seoul Institute of Global Affairs (SIGA) analyses and commentaries are designed to provide timely, analytically grounded, and policy-relevant perspectives on international political developments. Contributions should move beyond descriptive reporting and offer structured interpretation of global and regional political issues, situating current developments within their broader strategic, institutional, and geopolitical contexts. SIGA publications aim to bridge academic insight and policy relevance. Articles should therefore combine analytical rigor with clarity, avoiding both journalistic narration and overly technical academic exposition.

Article Structure Length: 800–1,300 words

Style and Referencing Guidelines

1. - Writing should be clear, professional, and policy-oriented.
2. - Excessive jargon should be avoided. In-text referencing is optional, but all factual claims must be supported by sources where relevant.
3. - References should be provided as embedded hyperlinks. Footnotes, endnotes, and floating URLs are not permitted.

Submission Format

1. - Articles must be submitted as a Word document (.docx).
2. - The author’s name, institutional affiliation (if applicable), and a short bio (2–3 lines) should be included at the end of the document.
3. - SIGA reserves the right to edit submissions for clarity, structure, length, and institutional consistency.
4. - Submissions that include plagiarized or self-plagiarized material, or that are produced with generative AI or similar tools, will not be considered.
